Dr William Chong

Dr. William Chong is recognised in the healthcare industry not
only as an entrepreneur, but also as a leading clinician and
lecturer in the field of Implant Dentistry.
He completed his early education in Singapore and graduated
from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of
Dental Surgery in 1985. He was awarded academic medals in the
fields of Restorative Dentistry, Medicine and Oral Surgery. He
also attained a Master of Dental Science by research in the field
of Bone Regeneration and Dental Implants at the Department of
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, National University of Singapore
in 1998.
Since 1996, Dr Chong has been a fellow and Diplomate of the
International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and a member
of the American Academy of Osseointegration. In 1997, he became
a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.He
was also guest lecturer, Course Director and Examiner for Australian
Society of Implant Dentistry (ASID), Level III, from 1999 to
2001 and from 2005 to 2007.
He has been in private practice at Atria-Pan
Dental Group for
the past 19 years. In 2001, he established Pacific
Healthcare Holdings Ltd, an integrated healthcare service provider offering
a comprehensive range of healthcare services including specialist
medical care, general practice medicine, dentistry, wellness
facilities, nursing homes, and day surgery centres.
His vision was to build a healthcare institution synonymous
with medical excellence, compassion and quality care, and to
deliver such service to patients in an integrated matter, where
health - as a state of total physical, mental, and social well-being
- is emphasised.
Dr. Chong is a member of the Network India Steering Committee.
He also lectures regularly on entrepreneurship, health-care management
and finance. In 2004, Dr. Chong was chosen as one of the finalists
for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. In
September 2005, he won the Best Entrepreneur, Medicine & Dentistry,
at the NUS Centennial Entrepreneurship Awards.
