Journey in Dentistry
My Journey in Dentistry

"As a young dentist back in the late 1980′s, I recognised a gap in my ability to help patients who had long lost their teeth including my mother. I placed my first implant in early 1991 on mum, and that enabled her to enjoy her favourite foods improving her quality of life significantly. I am glad to have been able to help many more patients over the years. Implants improve eating ability and can be placed very safely and almost painlessly using minimal invasive techniques."

"I then pursued research in basic bone biology and 'guided bone regeneration' in order to facilitate oral rehabilitation at my alma mater, the National University of Singapore. Techniques and medical technology have evolved over time.  I placed my first 'same day teeth implants' in 1999. More than 20 years have passed and it is now established that when the bone is sound, controlled loading can be done immediately though it still takes 3 months for the bone to finally set firmly around all implants.”

Embracing Active Aging

Beautiful rendition of Teresa Teng’s 月亮代表我的心 “the moon represents my heart” by seniors of Yishun Riverwalk at Pacific Activity Centre’s event “Embracing Active Aging”. Betsy on piano, Abdul Kadir and Clive on guitars and strong vocals of Cikgu Mohd Noor and Johnny Seah. Truly cross-cultural event, truly Singapore.
